A time to focus on balance including the balance between light and dark. We celebrate our gifts from the earth as well as the fact that the soil is dying.

Mabon is traditionally a time for giving thanks for the things we have, whether it is abundant crops or other blessings. It is a time of plenty, of gratitude and of sharing our abundance with those less fortunate.

This tradition of thanksgiving around this harvesting time of the year was later adopted and adapted by some countries such as the USA and Canada.
